ACHA Affiliation

Become an ACHA Affiliate

The Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing (ACHA) welcomes applications from academics, clinicians and researchers who share our commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of older people through high-quality applied research, innovation and collaboration.

Affiliation with ACHA recognises an active academic relationship with the Centre. It provides an opportunity to become part of a growing interdisciplinary network of researchers and clinical partners working together to address the challenges of healthy ageing across north east London and beyond.

Our affiliates contribute to the development of research, support collaborative funding applications, share expertise, and help generate evidence that improves health and care. In return, affiliates become part of ACHA’s academic community, are recognised as collaborators on our website, and may have opportunities to engage with the Centre’s research programmes, events and wider activities.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate expertise and an active interest in research aligned with ACHA’s mission. This may include:

· Academic researchers

· Clinical academics

· Healthcare professionals undertaking research

· Researchers from partner organisations

· Individuals contributing to collaborative programmes in healthy ageing and related fields

Applications are considered on the basis of academic or professional standing, alignment with ACHA’s strategic priorities, and the potential to contribute to the Centre’s research and collaborative activities.

Please note that affiliation is a formal relationship with the Centre and does not constitute employment or automatically provide access to ACHA research infrastructure, datasets or specialist services, which are subject to separate governance and approval processes.

How to become an ACHA Affiliate

Applying for affiliation is straightforward.

1. Complete the Affiliate Application Form.

2. Provide a brief summary of your current role, research interests and how your work aligns with ACHA’s objectives.

3. Your application will be reviewed by the ACHA Assurance Committee as part of our governance process.
