Join our Sandpits - Help Shape the Future of Healthy Ageing

ACHA’s mission is to transform how services support people as they grow older, supporting them to live well and independently, while helping reshape and grow the local health and care workforce.

To achieve this, we need your voice.

As ACHA prepares to begin work, we are holding four ‘research sandpits’: workshops to co-create our research priorities and future plans. Your ideas, experiences, and expertise will directly influence how we address the most pressing challenges in ageing and healthcare.

What are sandpits?

Sandpits are rapidly gaining popularity as a dynamic research tool. They are collaborative workshops designed to address complex challenges by sparking creativity and teamwork. They create inclusive spaces where researchers, professionals, and members of the public can come together to share perspectives, tackle problems, and develop new ideas for research, all guided by expert facilitators.

Who should join?

We want to hear from people who are passionate about improving the lives of older adults in our north-east London community, this includes:

  • Community members
  • Voluntary sector and local community organisations
  • Healthcare professionals and partners across the NHS and social care

Sandpits: dates and times

Each workshop will be led by one of ACHA’s professors, each of whom are world-leading experts in a specific aspect of healthy ageing.
